Park Party – A great Success – June, 2010
Over 200 people attended Acorn’s Park Party which was also a fundraiser for Ella, the Turtle held in Centennial Park on Glendale. Parents and children had fun in the water at the splash pad, building sand castles, climbing on the climber, visiting the turtles brought by Turtleshell Tortue, purchasing the donated art and enjoying the food. Miss Corianne led the Children’s Choir in many of the songs that they were practicing. It was a great day to share the fellowship between the Families and Educators at Acorn. We raised $615.00 to go toward the care and rehabilitation of Ella, our turtle and we had a lot of fun. We look forward to the next one. Thank goodness the rain held off until we cleaned up.
